House Rules
These rules govern every match and tournament on NexArena. Entering a competition means you accept them.
Game-specific rules
Each game adds rules of its own on top of these — lobby setup, what counts as a kill, how a disconnection is handled. Read the one for the game you are wagering on:
- Warzone rules — kill races, lobby setup, customs.
- Call of Duty rules — CDL modes, maps and GAs.
Reporting a result
- Both sides must report within 30 minutes of the match finishing.
- Agreeing results settle immediately and the pot pays out.
- A conflict freezes the pot and sends the match to staff review.
- Failing to report can forfeit the match to the side that did report.
Streaming and VODs
- PC players must stream every entry-fee match on the Twitch or Kick channel linked to their NexArena account, and must be live for the whole match.
- The VOD must be kept available. Do not delete it, and do not set it to subscribers-only, until the match has settled and any dispute is closed.
- No VOD is a forfeit. If a result is disputed and you cannot produce a VOD covering the match, it is ruled against you — whatever the scoreboard showed.
- Console players are not required to stream, but it is strongly encouraged. A VOD beats a screenshot in every dispute, and the side without one usually loses. If you play for money often, stream.
- Staff can require any player to stream, on any platform including console, after a cheating report or a run of suspicious disputes. Once that order is in place the same forfeit rule applies, and you cannot unlink your channel to escape it.
- A channel can be linked to one NexArena account only. Streaming on a channel that is not the one on your account does not satisfy this rule.
- Turn past broadcasts on before you play. A live stream with recording disabled leaves nothing behind, which is the same as not streaming at all when a result is questioned a day later. On Twitch this is a setting you have to enable yourself, and it only takes effect on the next stream — so switch it on, then restart the stream.
- Keep the recording up for at least seven days, and longer if the match is disputed — until the dispute is closed. Deleting it early is treated as having no VOD.
- Stream with game audio and comms audible. Muted gameplay is far weaker evidence, and in a cheating review it is close to worthless.
- Check your opponent’s stream before you start, not after. Once a game has been played to the end it will not be replayed because someone’s stream was silent, missing, or not recording. Confirming it takes thirty seconds and is on you.
When a required stream is missing
- If your opponent owes a stream and has not produced one by the check-in deadline, treat it as a no-show. Do not play the match anyway and argue about it afterwards.
- Say so in the match chat and open a dispute. The timestamps are the record, and a match you refused to start against an unstreamed opponent is a much easier ruling than one you played and lost.
- Staff can accept a stream that does not meet the letter of this rule where the circumstances justify it. That is a judgement call staff make, not a right you can claim after the fact.
Proof
- Proof must show the full result screen and the gamertags of both sides.
- A cropped scoreboard, a partial screenshot, or a photo of a screen is not enough.
- Video is stronger than a screenshot and wins ties in review.
- A VOD beats everything. Where one side has a VOD and the other does not, the VOD is taken as the record.
- Submitting altered or fabricated proof is a permanent ban.
Conduct
- Cheating ends the account, not just the match. Third-party software, a modified device, or anything else that plays the game for you is a permanent ban, and winnings taken while cheating are reversed.
- Staff can ask you for more proof where a cheating report is credible — a longer VOD, a clip of your setup, or a live stream on request. Refusing forfeits the match under review and can cost the account.
- No cheating, modding, exploiting, or third-party software.
- No account sharing, smurfing, or playing on behalf of another person.
- No arranged results, and no using matches to move money between accounts.
- No harassment or hate speech in lobby chat.
Disputes
Staff rule on the evidence submitted. A ruling can award the match to either side or void it and refund every stake. Rulings are final. Where staff find deliberate fraud, the account isbanned and the balance may be withheld pending review.
Fees
NexArena takes a percentage of each pot, shown before you enter. Entry fees are held in escrow from the moment you join until the match settles.
